This page is to illustrate the Scorepio philosophy and concept of performing cover songs live on-stage.
The usual goal for a band is to play a cover song so that it sounds as close to the original as possible. The demo below of "Hit Me With Your Best Shot" is pretty much straight ahead.
The Scorepio concept is to create a new performance piece that pays homage to the original work but offers an audience a completely original way of hearing it. My feeling is that this kind of thing is also a lot more challenging and fun for the group to play. The "Jojo Loretta" piece illustrates that kind of thing. I coined the term "Origassics" to represent a "Classic Hit" combined with some original content.
